Air handling, process control, water management, odor treatment, energy management; all of these items play a very important role in the successful operations of an organic waste treatment facility. Christiaens Controls has all the required knowledge in house.

Custom made software programs for process control and PLC systems for air handling and water management are all engineered, produced and tested in the workshop of Christiaens Controls. These systems make it also possible for the process engineers to look into a facility for assistance or maintenance.

In order for the treatment of odors Christiaens Controls has developed their own biological air scrubber. This scrubber reduces dust, ammonia and odor levels prior to releasing the air to the biofilter. In this way the biofilter can be dimensioned smaller without jeopardizing its performance.

Energy consumption is managed by means of using low value heat generated by various processes, in this way in many situations it is prevented that additional energy is required to heat up buildings etc. Heat pumps, cooling towers and heat exchangers are also used in various different situations all in order to reduce energy consumption with a lower operational cost as a consequence.
